How day-care cover works
Standard hospitalisation cover often requires at least 24 hours of admission. Day-care cover is the exception that pays for listed procedures completed in less time, which matters as more treatments become same-day.
Policies differ in how many day-care procedures they list. This is separate from OPD cover, which is for treatment without any hospital admission at all.
